For nearly three decades, Sweetwater has been pouring soul into every batch — from the hop gardens of the Pacific Northwest to the heart of Atlanta's brewery district. This isn't just beer. It's a conversation between tradition and reinvention.
Back in '97, two friends looked at Atlanta's beer scene and saw something missing — not another corporate lager, but a brew with backbone and heart. They started with a 7-barrel system, a garage, and an unshakable belief that Atlanta deserved better. Sweetwater was born that summer, and the rest is history poured in glass.
Twenty-eight years later, that same spirit drives every barrel we pull. We've outgrown the garage, yes — but we've never outgrown the patience. Our master brewer still tastes every batch. We still source hops from the same family farms. And we still believe that the best beer isn't made in a lab; it's made by people who care.
From the pale ale that put us on the map to our latest experimental release, there's a Sweetwater for every moment.
The one that started it all. Citrusy, crisp, and impossibly drinkable — this is the beer that put Atlanta craft on the national map. A golden session ale that never gets old.
A warm, malty embrace in a glass. Toasted caramel notes dance with a gentle hop finish. This is the beer you reach for when you want something that feels like home.
Dark, bold, and quietly sophisticated. Coffee and chocolate weave through a velvety body with a finish that lingers just long enough to make you order another.
For the hop lovers. A Pacific Northwest-inspired explosion of tropical fruit and pine, balanced by a clean malt backbone. This is our love letter to the IPA faithful.
Every season brings something new. Wheat beers for summer, stouts for winter, sours for spring. Our seasonal releases are the playground where our brewers get creative — and you get rewarded.
All the flavor. None of the buzz. Our zero-proof ale is brewed with the same care as everything else — because you shouldn't have to choose between sobriety and a great beer.
